Defibrillator (AED) Training

The frequency of cardiac arrest is such, that there is a reasonable probability of the use of a defibrillator at least once every four to fice years.  The use of a defibrillator within three minutes increases the chance of survival by 70%.  This programme is ideal for anyone who wishes to delvelop their first aid knowldge and gain an understanding of how to operate and use a defibrillator.

Overview

This course will cover:

  • CPR (Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation)
  • Recovery position
  • The safe use of a defibrillator
  • Operating a defibrillator

Assessment

Continous assessment by the trainer throughout the course.

Entry Requirements

Candidate must have either a Full First Aid at Work Certificate or a current Emergency First Aid (Appointed Persons)/Emergency First Aid at Work Certificate, which they will need to bring with them to the course.
