ILM Level 5 Award in Management

Validated by the Institute of Leadership and Management, the ILM Level 5 Award in Management is a concise qualification to develop basic middle management skills and knowledge. The mandatory unit examines organisational structure and function, the roles and responsibilities of midlle managers and the effect of communication and interpersonal skills on managerial performance.  The final element unit explores the evaluation of personal development opportunities.

 

 

Work-based assignment for mandatory units.  Depending on the optional units selected assessment can be from a choice of work-based assignments, relfective reviews, knowledge reviews, oral presentations, role-play/scenarios, written reports or centre-devised alternatives.

 

 

 

Entry Requirements

No special entry requirements, but work experience is essntial.  Participants will normally be practising or aspiring middle managers, and access to work based evidence is required for assessment purposes.

 

Progression Route

ILM Level 5 Certificate or Diploma in Management; NVQ Level 4 or 5 Management (subject to skills analysis); ILM Level 7 Award in Executive Management
